~Odds of dying in a car crash: 6200:1 ~The U.S. spends $14 million per minute on “healthcare”, more per capita than any nation on earth. ~The U. S. consists of 5% of the world population. The U.S. utilizes 55% of the world’s pharmaceuticals. ~Between 1981-1987, 3 million people died as a direct result of medical treatment, 39,000 died of AIDS. ~Every year 100,000 people die from infections acquired while in the hospital, and as a direct result of antibiotic use. ~From 1962-1988 there was a 300% increase in drug addiction as a direct result of the use of medical prescriptions. In the same period, drugs from Columbia accounted for only a 30% increase. ~The average American will live to be 76….the average M.D. to age 68. ~In 1900 the risk of cancer was one person in 30. |
