Weightloss Information

If I had known I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself! Why this, and why that? Why me? As Hetfield/Ulrich/Hammett stated, “What I’ve felt, what I’ve known, never shined through what I’ve shown, never be, never see, won’t see what might have been.” The persecution syndrome is one of those rampant plagues that haunts civilizations as frequently today as it did centuries ago. It is much easier to blame others, planetary alignment, our parents or genetics, the gods of the sun/moon/storm/drought, our religion or the god affiliated with it. We also may blame our ethnicity or race, I didn’t get all the breaks, I’m too poor or too rich, I’m too young/to old, my boss, my employees, nobody loves me or everybody wants a piece of me and I just don’t have enough energy. These are all darn good excuses. There are millions of them for everything we have not done or achieved in our lives. Rationalization is a way for the ego and mind to allow the heart and soul to remain sane, despite this inner pained dissonance. How many of us have pain, issues, health problems, compromises and unmet dreams and expectations that we have killed or repressed in order to get through everyday life…surviving. As the little Prince said, “It is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.”

“Soon the child’s clear eye is clouded over by ideas and opinions, preconceptions and abstractions. Simple free being becomes encrusted with the burdensome armor of the ego. Not until years later does an instinct come that a vital sense of mystery has been withdrawn. The sun glints through the pines, and the heart is pierced in a moment of beauty and strange pain, like a memory of paradise. After that day …we become seekers.” (Peter Matthiessen)

Our world is full of seekers. You may even be one of them. You have questions and want answers. Do we seek to find the truth, or the answers that will fit within the framework construed by our ego, our teachers or the system we have bought into, that we perceive life through? Do we reject the truth based on our self-righteous erroneous ego? Are answers staring us right in the face? We want, desire and demand to see the world clearly yet refuse to wear our glasses, and take off the pair that was handed down to us, made by another, for another. “If ye seek and know the truth, it will set you free.”

In order to be healthy, have more energy and lose weight, your first step is to choose health, energy and weight loss. We all however know that “The road to hell is paved with good intentions.” We have all made the decision to do, to be, this or that, hundreds of times, to no avail. “Faith without works is dead.” It reminds me of a patient who said it was no problem to go on a diet. They had gone on a diet every New Years for the past 12 years. I’m sure Elizabeth Taylor took a vow before each marriage. The stickability or commitment factor however was missing.

As we decide or commit to getting healthy we must be true to our self. To decide means to cut off any and all alternatives and options. We must become educated to the truth, not our truth. As we step forward in our decision, the universe will unfold and support us in our choice. Yes, we may have shortcomings and errors; yes, we may fall on our face, but as we move forward we will be empowered as we move along in true knowing. Edison failed over 1000 times inventing the light bulb. In an interview he was asked how he felt about his failures. He laughed and said these were learning experiences, he now new 1000 ways the bulb would not work. He had a goal and through his commitment was able to step forward into a solution - no excuses or rationalizations, just perseverance.

As a holy man once said, “the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” If you are overweight and need to lose weight, or have high blood pressure and are taking drugs that are making you impotent, if you are a women who is over 40 and have been put on PREggnant MARes uRINe (Premarin) as standard protocol and have now blown up like a balloon or have chronic fatigue or fibromyalgia and have been written off because there is no cure or have been told you’re just exaggerating, let us begin a journey. If you know you are not living the healthy, happy life you know you were meant to have, or simply want to live longer and have more energy, I welcome you to begin a journey and exploration. The road will be long and arduous. This may not even be the path for you. It will mean looking in the mirror and being brutally honest with the person who looks back. Mental, emotional, spiritual as well as a physical inventory and overhaul will be part of the job description. It may even question the very fiber of you being. Many people choose to stay in the framework of the box of illusion. It is safe and requires no responsibility. But if you are honest with yourself, you know there is work to be done, in order to be all you can be. We weren’t born evolved. It is a process. I challenge you to make a decision, to burn the bridge you cross over, and move forward. Sorry there is no magic pill for this.

Over the next several weeks we will together look at your health from differing perspectives. These will not just be a mechanical state of being or biological process of symptom + cause = slash, burn, drug, cut, poison, kill. But what is really at the heart of who you are on a mental, physical and spiritual level and where you want to go (goal). We will work together to assist you in looking deeper in unearthing the cause of your created world and state of health. I will continue to give you the fundamental basics for a foundation. As we work along as partners please feel free to contact me directly or through this publication with any obstacles, questions, or feed back. There are many trade secrets and answers, but they are all useless unless you are an active partner and recipient. The days of “sock it to me”, fix me I’m broken medicine went out with Laugh In. Sock it to yourself. Think. Take responsibility for your life and your health. A successful patient of mine once said, “ Thank you, I now feel great, have my health back and have the knowledge to continue taking care of myself. My life will never be the same. I will see you when I need more coaching.”
